MILTON .- Milton Academy kicker Justin Yoon, the nation’s top prospect at his position, has committed to Notre Dame.

The 5-11, 185-pounder chose the Irish over offers from Boston College, Northwestern and Texas A&M.

Yoon, a 2015 recruit, first picked up an offer from Notre Dame on June 9. He worked out for the staff at camp and received the offer directly from head coach Brian Kelly.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Yoon. “The offer meant so much. I thought I was just going to meet Coach Kelly, but then he offered. It was amazing.”

As a junior, Yoon connected on 9 of 11 field goal attempts, with a long of 48 yards. He made 38 of 39 extra point attempts, as well.
