The Salvation of the Politécnico Blanco is in denting the crown to the Golden Horde

The work of the Politécnico Blanco in the 1966 season has been completely dark, it cannot yet be said if it was due to the presence of Mario San Román as the team’s head coach or due to the natural imbalance of the change in coaching from one year to the next, not so much in the technical aspect, as well as psychological, but the reality is that at this point the Zacatenco squad has been the victim of serious setbacks.

However, their most passionate supporters are sure that this afternoon they will accomplish the feat of denting the crown to the brand new champions, the Golden Pumas of the Pedregal.

Of course there are those who do not grant them even the remotest possibility.

But both are on their own, because we have always believed, and the facts also confirm it, that when representative teams from the University of Mexico and the National Polytechnic Institute are on a field… Anything can happen!

Even the incredible.

The championship achieved last year by the Politécnico Guinda is the best example – and especially the most recent – that we can give you.

Furthermore, we must take into account that it will be a mark of pride for the University to have recovered the throne of Mexico’s college football, without anyone having beaten them in 1966. We are referring to the Mexican teams, of course…

And the great gain, the full justification of existing and being in the maximum circuit for the Politécnico Blanco is in denting their crown and tearing off the “undefeated” seal with which the felines are almost visible.

On the other hand, it is the last game on the schedule and both teams are obliged to give a good game. A worthy clash of the colors blue and gold and maroon and white. The tradition and history of these meetings demands it.

We are not going to mark a favorite. We prefer that everyone does it on their own and yes, instead we are going to make a wish that the 1966 championship ends with a high-level match and everything is in such a way that next year football experiences a total recovery… as long as when the University doesn’t continue to take advantage and the Polytechnic does not present the “2 in 1” squad and thus Chapingo remains to continue in the fight for the scepter. May you have a good time.
